My 767-300

Captain Sim 767-300 II in KLM livery at Palma de Mallorca (LEPA)

My cockpit project started with the Level-D 767 in FSX. But I really really wanted to switch to P3Dv4. For a while I waited and hoped that Level-D would come with an update for P3D, but alas… When Captain Sim came out with the updated 767-300 (II) in May 2020, I bought it. To my surprise it came with an SDK, which is good news for a cockpit builder. Of course, this meant that I had to redo all the programming.

For my cockpit I largely use the Open Cockpits interface cards in combination with the scripting language SIOC. Thanks to the fact that almost all offsets of the Level-D were known and thanks to Nico Kaan’s handy program Lekseecon, I was able to program almost everything I needed with the Level-d. Now everything had to be done again and especially Lekseecon was a great loss. In the end, after a few months I managed to do it using a combination of LUA scripts, SIOC and FSUIPC. For the Throttles I also use a BU0836X card from Leo Bodnar.

Initially I had excellent support from Captain Sim through their forum, especially since the 767 was still in the final development phase at the time. However, since their final release of version 1.0, I hardly get any response from the development team to questions. Unfortunately! Therefore, but also not to let everyone reinvent the wheel, I will offer my files for download below. Of course these are completely focused on my hardware, but perhaps they can be a good example for you for your own situation. Use it to your advantage. And as stated in more places on my site, a donation for the use of my files would be most welcome. (See my donate button at the bottom of the page)

Lua Lights MIP – LUA script that checks whether the main instrument panel lights are on or off and then writes this to an FSUIPC offset that can be read by SIOC.

Lua Lights MCP – LUA script that checks whether the main control panel lights are on or off and then writes this to an FSUIPC offset that can be read by SIOC.

LUA script that checks whether the other lights are on or off and then writes this to an FSUIPC offset that can be read by SIOC.

LUA Display – LUA script that reads the 7-segment displays from the main control panel and writes to FSUIPC offsets that SIOC can read

FSUIPC6.ini – My FSUIPC 6 ini file

767.MCRO – FSUIPC macro file to map buttons in FSUIPC to certain LVars of the Captain Sim 767

767CS.TXT – SIOC script for my hardware
